About Steve

Steve Dondley is:

  • A responsible voice on the city council, elected in 2015
  • US Navy veteran, served aboard submarines as a nuclear reactor operator
  • Westfield homeowner, family man, and successful entrepreneur

Steve is a US Navy and Gulf War I vet and the recipient of the Southwest Asia Service Medal for his service in the nuclear submarine force in the Persian Gulf. In 2002, after attending UMass, he moved to Westfield with his wife, Lorena, to raise his son, Sean. In 2006, Steve started his own company here in Westfield developing and hosting websites as well as mobile phone applications.

Steve is dedicated to serving his community and has been actively involved in local Westfield politics since 2010 to fight against school budget cuts. He is a responsible voice on Westfield’s city council and has served, since 2016, with a perfect attendance record. Steve volunteers in the community as a proud member of the Westfield Kiwanis Club and Recording Secretary of the Pioneer Valley AFL-CIO. He has also donated his technical skills to build and host a podcast for WSKB Community Radio where he also co-hosts a program every Tuesday morning at 8am.
